Mode of Action

Tribulus terrestris (aka Puncture Vine, Small Caltrops, Burra Gohkru) contains furostanol saponins, (calculated as protodioscin) which increases FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) in women, which in turn increases levels of oestradiol as the result of binding with but only weakly stimulating hypothalamic oestrogen receptors. Effects in men relate to increases in testosterone. Benefits observed with Tribulus supplementation include reduced catabolism, improved sexual function and libido in both men and women.
