Our NSF certified, Progressive Multi-Layered, Melt Blown Sediment Filter Cartridge is constructed from thermally bonded polypropylene (PP) micro fibers providing maximum purity and chemical compatibility. Healthstart have created unique outer channels in our filter to increase surface area which extends the cartridge life by more than 30%.
Larger particles are trapped in the outer layers of the PP filter and some smaller particles will penetrate deeper, however studies have shown that our PP filter has a greater particle holding ability than other non-layered cartridges. The Healthstart 5-1 Micron progressive sediment pre-filter contains no agents, solvents, antistatic materials or wetting agents.
