What are the other ingredients & why are they in this formula?
Globe Artichoke is a bitter tonic with liver-protective and restorative properties.
It is used as a cleanser in cases of skin problems and body odour; and as a
liver-restorative in cases of liver insufficiency and damage, liver disorders, fatty
liver, poor digestion, gallstones or chronic constipation.

Dandelion Root enhances liver and gallbladder function, and has traditionally
been used to help with liver problems and congestion. This herb helps to
improve digestion by stimulating bile flow. It is also beneficial for skin
conditions, as it stimulates the excretion of toxins and acts as a blood purifier.

Burdock is a herb which contains bitter constituents within its root. It is the
bitterness that stimulates digestion. This cleansing herb provides nourishing
support for the blood and the liver, and helps rid the body of metabolic wastes.

Schizandra fruit contains active ingredients known as lignans. Isolated from
the seed oil, at least 13 of these lignans have a protective effect on liver cells
and regenerate damaged liver tissue. Lignans activate the enzymes in liver
cells that produce glutathione – a powerful antioxidant that detoxifies harmful
substances so that they can be excreted through the bile. Multiple studies
support its liver- protective and antioxidant properties.

Taurine is an amino acid which plays a major role in the liver via the formation of bile acids and detoxification. Abnormally low levels of Taurine are common in those with chemical sensitivities and allergies. Taurine is the major amino acid required for removal of toxic chemicals and metabolites from the body. 

Q How long/often can I take this product?
A For general liver support (such as a cleanse/detoxification programme), this
product may be taken for 1-2 months, up to twice a year. More chronic
conditions may require longer treatment periods, but this must be performed
under the supervision of a healthcare practitioner.
