Rose-Hip Vital
Rose-hip vital trades in
America and Europe under the name LitoZin
Rose hip
is known to be one of nature’s richest sources of vitamin C and has been used
for countless generations in European herbal medicine for the relief of joint
pain, arthritis and rheumatism. Scientific research – specific to Rose-Hip Vital
– now supports this traditional use, showing that Rose-Hip Vital can relieve the
joint pain and stiffness of osteoarthritis.
The clinical evidence for Rose-Hip
Vital shows that it can increase joint mobility for arthritis sufferers,
including morning joint stiffness on waking, manage joint pain, relieve
arthritic pain, and even improve sleep when it is affected by joint pain and
discomfort.
Absorption of Vitamin C
Check out how well your body absorbs the all natural
vitamin C in Rose-Hip Vital compared to the synthetic stuff. Clinical trials
have shown that your body absorbs Rose-Hip Vital’s natural vitamin C twice as
effectively as synthetic vitamin C tablets. As you can see in the graphic,
vitamin C blood level was measured following 2 and 4 hours respectively after
ingestion.

As demonstrated, ingestion of 250mg of Rose-Hip Vital (half a capsule) versus
500mg of a synthetic quantity results in same Vitamin C blood plasma level. And
when taking 500MG of Rose-Hip Vital (one capsule) it’s still climbing after 4
hours! It’s nature at it’s best.
Production of Rose-Hip Vital
For more than two decades Rose-Hip Vital has been striving to deliver you the
most potent and active combination of nutrients nature has to offer.
This has been done by careful testing and measuring the right rose hips to use,
how to plant and nourish them, developing special machinery for both planting
and harvesting... and inventing a patented process (Patent Act.1990 No. 759394)
where the whole Rose Hip fruit (including kernel) are dried and powdered.
The speed and power of the crushing, sunlight levels, low temperature, levels of
humidity, etc, has all been perfected to leave you with the most potent product
possible. This pure powder is then put into clear capsules for ultra easy
consumption.
Planting
What started on a few acres in the early 1980’s has grown into over 200
hectares with some 40 professional farmers in Denmark and Sweden growing rose
hip full-time to keep up with Rose-Hip Vital’s demand. And there are many more
on the waiting list as they see the long-term potential of this product.
A highly specialised machine imported from Italy does the planting all-in-one.
First it lays down a piece of plastic through which the young plants are
inserted into the ground at precise intervals. This method ensures weeds haven’t
got a chance (hence no pesticides) and no fertilizers are needed either. Nature
does all the amazing work by itself with no artificial interference.
The plants are then left to mature for 3 to 4 years before harvesting can begin.
Not only does this give the plants time to produce the best quality fruits, it
also allows their amazing root system to dive deep into the ground (well below
the plouging level) where they can draw precious trace minerals from soil that
has not been depleted by modern agricultural practices.
Finding the perfect plant
Rose hip grows wild across Scandinavia all year round. Even in the middle of
the coldest winters the landscape is dotted with rich and juicy rose hips that
many types of bird depend on to survive. In the beginning, apart from growing
our own few acres, hundreds of people would pluck rose hips from wild fields and
their own gardens and sell them to us as demand started out-stripping supply.
In the mid 1990’s it was noticed that the rose hips one particular woman was
delivering were always the largest, most consistent and contained the highest
concentration of vitamins and minerals. The scientists were sent out to
investigate.
It was revealed that she had plucked the berries from the same patch of plants
every time. This would become the base-stock from which all Rose-Hip Vital today
is derived. Thousands of tiny cuttings were taken from this plant and nurtured
in special greenhouses.
In 1997 it was Christened Rose-Hip Vital Lito. Today all Rose-Hip Vital plants
derive from this all natural genetically perfect rose hip specimen ensuring
maximum potency and total consistency. The name 'Lito' is made up of letters
from the names of two people - the grand-daughter of Rose-Hip Vital's founder
(Eric 'Farmer' Hansen), and the woman who brought this amazing plant to our
attention.
The Harvest and processing
Another specially designed machine is used to carefully pluck the fruits
before they are sent for processing. The raw fruit is then dried and powdered
using a method Eric Hansen perfected and patented many years ago.
This works by the use of low temperatures, careful monitoring of humidity,
without the effects of sunlight or the use of any additives. By this method we
can successfully preserve the ingredients that cannot tolerate heat or sunlight
and it’s done using absolutely no chemical or biological agents. The fruits are
simply dried and powdered and then put into clear capsules so nature’s
miraculous synergy isn’t disturbed.
All this is done under constant Danish Laboratory Control and our own quality
control measures adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which means that
every bottle of capsules is specially numbered so it can be traced back to the
exact batch of plants from which it came.
